ABOUT THE PROGRAM

On Thursdays, hundreds of people from every part of the innovation community gather to enjoy, connect and learn from each other. This event is called the Venture Café Thursday Gathering – the central innovation community event in Warsaw. Participation is always free for everyone.

At each gathering, you can attend interdisciplinary sessions with industry experts or get involved in creating content to share with the rest of the community. We make sure that every event offers something for everyone but the main point of each gathering is a facilitated, modern networking opportunity supported by our team. Why? Because we all know that collaboration requires trust and innovation does not happen in isolation. By providing an easily accessible ecosystem platform and arranging opportunities for face-to-face interaction, we are improving the social trust factor and making the community more diverse, inclusive, and better connected, both locally and globally.

Thursday Gathering and other programs are shaped by an independent non-profit organization, the Venture Cafe Warsaw Foundation, with support from an amazing innovation community. This joint effort is transforming how an entire city works and catalyzes many new ideas and relations, making things happen! Our movement began in 2010 in Cambridge, USA, and is currently present in many cities across the globe connecting innovators, generating economic growth and making the world a better place.

Respect the social norms of conversation and professional engagement. Respect others’ desire to interact, or not, based on the context of the situation.

Challenge yourself to think outside of your norms and grow. Be willing to provide constructive feedback and share your ideas.

Attend with a mind of inquiry

Learn about other guests’ projects, explore new perspectives, consider the absurd. Ask yourself how can I help?

You are part of this community, help build it

Participate. Spread the word. Invite new faces. Share your expertise and present.

Foster inclusivity

Great minds may think aline, but it will take diverse minds to change the world. This community thrives because we welcome participants without regard to race, color, gender, sex, religion, national origin, age, military service, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, or disability.

We are NOT a venue for hard selling

Innovation is about top level thinking, not bottom line outcomes. Focus on building relationships that will last.

Connect responsibly and respectfully

We are not a bar, this is not a happy hour. If you think it is, you are in the wrong place. Remember, we will serve you up to 3 drinks, so don’t ask for a 4th.
